Vintage 1970s 18K Yellow Gold South Sea Cultured Pearl & Diamond Cocktail Ring
|
|
A striking vintage 18K yellow gold cocktail ring centered by an impressive approximately 14 mm South Sea cultured pearl, displaying a soft silvery-white body color and beautiful natural-looking luster.
The pearl is framed by an elaborate swirling floral or pinwheel-inspired diamond surround. The sculptural design features approximately 40 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 1.10 carats, arranged in curved, channel-set sections that create movement around the center pearl. Interspersed between the baguette sections are 8 marquise-cut diamonds totaling approximately 0.80 carat, adding brilliance and definition to the design.
The diamonds have a combined approximate weight of 1.90 carats.
Crafted in rich 18K yellow gold with an openwork split-shoulder construction that supports the substantial elevated setting. The ring is stamped “750” and “18K,” indicating 18-karat gold.
A bold and glamorous vintage cocktail ring combining the softness of a large South Sea pearl with the architectural brilliance of baguette and marquise diamonds.
